This site
is dedicated to the creation and understanding of fire. Both
primitive and modern methods of fire building will be discussed.
There are no commandos here, or operators or other warriors. We
approach fire building from the camping and recreation
perspective. Most, if not all, fire building techniques are
transferable to emergency and survival situations but that is not our
focus on this site.
We will also be doing research on Rocket Mass Heaters and Stoves.
The intention is to apply a scientific approach to varying heater and
stove designs to see if we can create the most efficient burn
possible. This work requires a considerable amount of time as the
heater or stove has to be disassembled and reassembled each time a
change is made. Our progress here may be slow.
www.flamebuilder.com is a site run by enthusiasts, we are not experts,
but we are driven to learn. As such we will be all learning
together.
